1949 Gibson ES-300

This old Gibson is one of 76 ES-300 guitars made in ’49.

The guitar plays very fast and easy. All electronics function as they should. It should be noted that the tone knob has a bit of crackling to it.

This guitar has no breaks or repairs. There is finish checking throughout the guitar. A small piece of wood at the corner of the headstock has chipped away, the binding remains intact. There is worming on the back of the headstock. The finish has been rubbed through on the back of the neck with various nicks, dings and scratches. There are dings and dents on the sides, back, and top of the guitar. All in all, this guitar is in very good condition, especially considering it’s age.
