Early in the run – These came one of two ways; 79-81 had this angled body cuts. Later models were curly maple tops-in fact they changed the name to Explorer CMT around 83 time. Walnut with Maple 5 piece body and neck, ebony board, etc. This has had the pickups changed to Gibson 57 Classics and a NOS 1979 TP-6 was replaced as well. Excellent frets. Moderate worming on rear but nothing to bare wood, Original case has one bad latch bit original key.
